Stonebwoy Burniton has been on the rise in the African Music scene for sometime now. Though he may have performed with some of Ghana’s biggest names namely Obrafour,Raquel, Samini, Sarkodie and Kwaw Kesse and shared stage with International artists like Busy Signaland Kip Rich, there is a lot of room for improvement with this Musician, Composer, Performer, Poet and Actor who has best known for his Dancehall and Reggae tracks.
The release of his début album“Grade #1” has shown his diversity and lyrical depth. The album has 17 original tracks and were produced by 3 major Ghanaian producers. 9 tracks from Jam Master Jay (JmJ) , 7 tracks from RedEye (Nature Works) and 1 track from Ephraim.
Stonebwoy’s first single “Climax” featuring Samini has had international airplay and the video has had raving reviews from all who have watched it.
Following that, Stonebwoy has been back infront of the camera lenses getting the video for his second single featuring Irene Logan “Ghetto Love” ready for the summer.
The video which Irene was unable to make due to cash of dates and prior arrangements, is now ready and will be premièred at the “Stonebwoy and Friends Party” at Barcadis Nite Club (Tema Community 4) on Saturday 7th July 2012. Amongst the friends are Irene, Mugeez, Bandana, Iwan, Jupiter, D-Black,Asem, Kwaw Kesse, Tinny, Edem, 2Toff, Humble Diz, Ikonz, Stay J,Galaxy King, Nsemkua (formally Yaa Pono) amongst many.
